After a competitive skating career including junior national and young international stints, Katherine went on to perform in countless musical theater and dance productions throughout her time in theater and Bachelor's degree in Dance. Some of her favorite projects included Sweeney Todd and Aida performed at the International Thespian Festival, the role of Bebe in A Chorus Line, countless Northwestern student dance works, "An Evening of Hope starring Evan Lysacek and friends", and her multiple roles in the 2015 Autostadt Spectacular sponsored by Volkswagen and performed in Wolfsburg, Germany.
Through years of studying under esteemed skating choreographers, Susie Wynne and Ricky Harris, nationally recognized musical theater director, Holly Stanfield, and well rewnowned dance choreographers/artists Jeff Hancock, Molly Shannahan, Susan Lee, Billy Seigenfeld, and Laura Wade, Katherine strives to interweave her cross disciplinary studies to effectively communicate through movement.
When not skating or dancing, Katherine co-founded the Stephanie Joseph Memorial Fund, an organization dedicated to celebrating adolescent courage in the face of adversity. After donating/awarding over $100,000 to scholarship recipients and partnering organizations, Katherine stepped down as Chairman but continues to serve on the Board of Directors.
